Valentine's Day is around the corner!

I know I know, we just celebrated New Years. But every year I hear, "I have no idea what to get..." a few days before Valentine's day. So why not start early!?

I am already working on a Valentines Day line for this year!

I graduated from Rutgers University recently so I will have more time to spend on building my business, blog, tutorials, and of course jewelry selection. =)

Ugh, new school year, new work load....

I decided to get all my transfer credits done in 1 semester. So, I'm taking 6 classes this semester!! Plus, I'm now working 2 jobs not including my jewelry business which is picking up!!

So, I may not be able to keep my blog very up to date but I sure am going to try!

Now, onto Jewelry related news!

I did the Waterford Twp Day Festival & Craft show, I didn't sell very much, but it was my first craft show so I considered it a wonderful learning experience. I learned that just going to a craft show and setting up a booth is not going to get my pieces to sell. I have to make sure my "type" of customer is there, and at Waterford Twp Day, they were not!

I may be doing a Woodbury craft show in early Oct, I'm waiting to hear back from the organizer as to how many jewelry designers they already have. I don't mind competition, but I also don't want to be a dime in a dozen!

I also started making rings! I love to make them, they are easy quick and so cool looking!!
Here are a few of my favorites so far. I'll list them on Etsy within a few weeks.

I'm doing my first craft show!!

Come visit me and see my jewelry in person!

Waterford Township Day in Atco, NJ
Sept 19 from 5pm-10pm and Sept 20 from 11am to 11pm.

I will be there for the long haul on Sept 2oth!

Wish me luck!!

Where oh where did the summer go??

I thought I'd be updating much more then I have this summer.

I just made a fabulous new bracelet that I love so much I'm keeping for myself!! It's called a byzantine chain-I made the chain & linked it to a "serenity" charm. I've needed some serenity lately.

The new semester is only a week away!! It's going to be a busy fall! I'll be substitute teaching, taking 6 courses and working another job. Not to mention home jewelry shows and craft shows I have already booked!! Ahh!

Ugh, college course are not easy!

I just finished writing an essay for my American Government class, and I figured I'd relax by updating everyone of my newest projects, I have all these silver toned and gold toned chains and decided to make charm type bracelets out of them.

I've made 3 so far, one in which I like so much I wore today! Rest assured, I will keep that one as my own and if I decide it's a worthy piece, I'll make another one to list on Etsy.

I'll take pictures at my first opportunity, as well as record the next installment of jewelry basics 101--how to use the tools.

I have an exam on Wed and another essay due on Thurs, so I may not be until Friday, but I will!

My new endeavor

So, I've decided to share my knowledge with the world, or at least whoever reads my blog!

So, here's my first installation. Getting started, I will show you the tools you need to get started in making jewelry!

My Hiatis

I probably didn't mention before, but I'm a full time college student as well as jewelry designer.

I have been overwhelmed with school work since last semester, but I did earn my associates degree!! This summer I'm taking classes towards my B.A. and that has been grueling.

I am using my jewelry as a way to de-stress. I've made a few pieces that are not finished b/c I'm out of glue. I am also going to do a few Craft Shows this summer and fall!! I'm very excited!

I'll post details about them once I decide which ones I am going to do!

Once I find some more time, I'll finish, photography, list and post my new pieces.

Here it is!

Here it is! The pearl necklace I was talking about! I love it, it's so per-ty ;-)
I have to work on the maniquin thing. I wonder it would just be better to take them on me rather then a maniquin. Anyway, my newest item is finished.

After midterms I'll be beading away, so I'll be about to post a bunch more and list them on Esty!

I'm also still waiting on my order of freshwater pearls so I can start my wedding jewelry line!

Stay tuned!
