Here it is!

Here it is! The pearl necklace I was talking about! I love it, it's so per-ty ;-)
I have to work on the maniquin thing. I wonder it would just be better to take them on me rather then a maniquin. Anyway, my newest item is finished.

After midterms I'll be beading away, so I'll be about to post a bunch more and list them on Esty!

I'm also still waiting on my order of freshwater pearls so I can start my wedding jewelry line!

Stay tuned!

Some of my favorite pieces

Over the last few years, I've created so many pieces of jewelry I can't count them, nor have I taken pictures of them all. But here are a few that I have taken pictures of that I am very proud of. You can tell they are before my etsy days because the pictures are not very good.

I made these chandelier earrings when I first started dabbling in bending wire. They're not perfect, but I love them!

They are plastic pearls and glass tear drop beads.

I was not using quality stuff when I first started, hey give me a break, back then it was a just a hobby that gave me something to wear with any outfit I wanted! :-)

I made this for my mom, it was either mothers day or her birthday, I don't remember.

It's 14k gold chain with pink Sapphire cabochon I set myself and pink beads to add visual interest. It matches a ring her boyfriend gave her.

One of my first hand-knotted pearl necklaces was made for my niece, I didn't take a picture of it prior to giving it to her, but here's her wearing it!

I used 6mm freshwater pearls and silk thread. Pink glass beads to accent and a sterling silver magnetic rose clasp. It's adorable, but not a adorable as my niece is! :-)

I have another niece on the way, I can't wait to make her one! I save them for a 1st birthday present, but I'm sure I'll have it done way before that!

I made this choker for a co-worker, she wore it to dinner on a cruise she went on. It was the first piece I had ever sold!

I used glass beads and strung them on wire, then bent the wire into a pattern that I repeated throughout the design.

Now that I have you caught up from the beginning to where I am now. I will start giving a sneak peek of the pieces I'm working on for etsy or custom orders!

EtsyBead Team's theme for next week is Spring Bouquet, so I'll be busy making things that fall into that category to sell!

Check back soon!!

Ta ta until later!

Lets start from the begining.

I figure I should start at the beginning.

Like my profile says, I was looking for a necklace and fell in love with one I couldn't find in any store.

Yep, that's the one I still think it's breathtaking. Breathtaking enough to inspire me to take on a whole new money guzzling and time guzzling, but oh so rewarding obsession.

After months of trying to find this necklace that I later learned was called a Lariat, I decided I'll try and make it.

I was successful in making the lariat, however, I ended up not wearing the wedding gown I wanted it for (that's a whole other story!!) so I didn't end up wearing it.

But here it is on your right. Not bad for a first time attempt at making jewelry! :0)

I did however, end up making all my bridesmaids jewelry which came out nicely too.

This is my sister, she was my matron or honor and wore a double strand pearl necklace I made.

Just getting started

If everyone jumps off a bridge, would you? Normally, I'd say no.
However, I'm sitting here starting my own blog page because everyone else did.

By everyone I mean the members of the EtsyBead Team. They are a group of extremely talented artisan jewelry makers and I have been lucky enough to be accepted into their group.

We all have selling on Etsy and Jewelry making in common.

As far as "blogging" (if that what it's even called) goes, as of now, I don't see the point. But if everyone has d
one it, there must be a good reason for it! So, for now I'll jump too.

I started my own store about a month ago on Etsy, the place to buy and sell all things handmade. I have to thank my sister for telling me about the site and e
ncouraging me to start a store & actually for starting my jewelry making back up. I had been on a hiatis for almost a year!

My store is www.jewelrybyjaime.etsy.com you should take a look!

As I learn what th
e purpose of blogging is, I'll post more and more. :-)
